"Sing, O Barren One" is a collection of essays on biblical themes by Sister Helen Graham. The articles reflect the personal concerns and interests of Sr. Helen throughout the years as an engaged and dedicated biblical scholar. The articles are grouped into four: War and Peace, Social Justice, Biblical Women, and Church and Mission.

Sister Helen is a Maryknoll missioner and a Professor of Scriptures at the Institute for Formation and Religious Studies (IFRS) and at the Maryhill School of Theology (MST).
